CIMP’s research is built on close collaboration between the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Odense University Hospital (OUH).

Through this partnership, researchers have access to advanced laboratories, data resources, and specialized expertise that connect molecular research directly with clinical practice.

DanSIC - Danish Single-Cell Center

The Danish Spatial Imaging Consortium (DanSIC) is an international research infrastructure dedicated to spatial omics analysis. It was established across Southern Denmark University (Odense) and Aarhus University in 2023. The spatial technologies allow researchers to explore cellular diversity and disease mechanisms in unprecedented detail. Learn more

The Clinical Genome Center

The Clinical Genome Center (CGC) is a facility at Odense University Hospital that supports genomic research and bioinformatics for personalized medicine. Hosted by the Department of Clinical Genetics and co-sponsored by SDU and the Region of Southern Denmark, CGC provides expertise in project strategy and design, performs sequencing and molecular analyses, and delivers high-performance computing, bioinformatics, and data interpretation support.

Translational cancer hub

The Translational Cancer Hub (TCH) brings together existing research strengths in cancer and precision medicine at SDU and OUH into a unified program. TCH promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration between fundamental and clinical researchers to accelerate the development of new therapeutic strategies and ensure faster translation of discoveries that will benefit patient care. Mopitas

MOPITAS explores how cells are organized and interact within tissues by combining spatial transcriptomics and single-cell RNA sequencing.  By developing new experimental techniques and advanced computational algorithms, the project aims to reconstruct where individual cells are located in tissue and how their gene activity relates to neighboring cells. This integrated approach will provide new insight into how diseases develop and progress, paving the way for more personalized treatments in the future. Learn more

Collaborating Consortia

CIMP participates in collaborative research consortia that support shared scientific goals and integrated research activities

Optimise

OPTIMISE is a national research initiative led by researchers from Aarhus University Hospital, Odense University Hospital, Hvidovre Hospital, Aalborg University Hospital, Holbæk Hospital, and Zealand University Hospital in Køge, in collaboration with additional centres with expertise in osteoporosis. OPTIMISE aims to generate new knowledge that can guide strategies for building and maintaining healthy bones throughout life.

Epipeak

EPIPEAK is a nationwide cohort study examining how early-life factors influence skeletal maturation and endocrine health in young adulthood. The project aims to identify developmental determinants of bone strength and hormonal balance to improve long-term health outcomes.

CellX

CellX is a national research infrastructure dedicated to single-cell and spatial omics analysis. The platform brings together expertise and facilities from Aarhus University, SDU, and the University of Copenhagen and gives researchers access to advanced technologies and data analysis support.
